Astonish Results Agencies and Staff Lend a Helping Hand

No, it isn’t the holidays, but the time to be charitable is now. Astonish Results agencies Patrons Insurance of Largo, Florida, and Paradiso Insurance of Stafford Springs, CT have recently been active in two charities to help children in their areas, while Astonish Results employees participated in MDRT’s largest volunteer event to date!

Patrons Insurance is helping the ‘Smart Start 4 Kids’ drive put on by Florida’s Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) to benefit ‘Voices for Children’, a group of volunteers who help children that were removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. The drive is collecting school supplies such as backpacks, markers, binders, rulers, etc.

Each item donated generates a specific point value. Patrons Insurance has vowed to donate even more money to the cause if their area or agency comes out with the highest point value! They are even thanking the donations with warm oatmeal cookies and the chance to win a $25 VISA gift card!

From the south to the northeast, our agencies are Astonishing. Paradiso Insurance of Connecticut posted a blog entry recently about a fundraiser called ‘Crayons for Cancer’ where a local church is melting down old crayons and molding them into different shapes for sale.

All proceeds go to the children at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Minneapolis Children’s Hospital, and Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. As of July 4th, Crayons for Cancer has raised over $29,000 and the numbers continue to rise!

On the west coast and even farther north than the continental U.S., this past month was the Million Dollar Round Table convention in Vancouver, Canada, where Astonish Results employees presented our digital marketing campaign strategy to the attendees while networking with some of the sharpest business minds in North America. Along with helping to explain insurance marketing, our employees participated in the Million Meals production line. Attendees of the conference worked in an assembly line to put together one million meals to be shipped around the world to feed the hungry.

A little charity can go a long way for both office morale and in helping your agency be viewed as a caring member of the community, whether it’s the insurance community, or your hometown. Consider donating time or resources to a non-profit and enjoy an ROI of feeling good.

Thanks for the plug! I love the idea of melting down the crayons. What sort of things are they molding them into?
